Kemi Marie (they/them), is a queer mother, student, creative, holistic earth steward and liberation-driven philosopher, who reveres the earth and emphasizes self-exploration, development, community abundance, and freedom.

In the Beginning
2019
While attending university, and studying Philosophy, Religion, and Society, Kemi experienced a significant surge in their social media following. Initially under the pseudonym “melanatedmomma”, Kemi dedicated their presence to astrology, wellness education, empowerment, breathwork facilitation, and holistic liberation of the mind, body, and spirit, Kemi’s influence grew quickly over the year.
Due to the pandemic, Kemi transitioned to online schooling and moved to Los Angeles.
2020
6 months later, In 2020, Kemi graduated from college with a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy, Religion, and Society. After graduation, they took a break from schooling to explore and focus on their creative work and teachings.
Throughout 2020 and 2021, Kemi hosted online classes teaching about wellness, healing, reiki, and more.
During this time, Kemi also became a certified breathwork practitioner, reiki practitioner, and underwent various ceremonies in Isese Ifa, an African Traditional Religion.
2021
In 2021, Kemi released their “Deck of Encouragement,” which garnered significant attention,eventually being sold in Free People stores.
Shortly thereafter, Kemi published their first Shadow Work Book, a 115-question journal, prompting the collective to uncover deeper parts of the self for healing and acceptance.
They continued to focus on growing their community and with growing influence, Kemi embraced speaking engagements at various universities, and collaborations with a variety of publications and brands.
2022
In 2022, Kemi Marie published Volume 2 of the Shadow Work Journal, a more extensive healing guide with 168 questions across 6 different topics designed to help individuals delve deep into their subconscious, confront their inner shadows, and facilitate personal growth and healing.
Early that year, Kemi decided to take a large break from spiritual practices and embark on a season of living. Kicking off this new era, Kemi pursued the life of a digital nomad, traveling from state to state and country to country while hosting BIPOC and LGBTQ+ friendly group trips.
2023
In 2023, Kemi lived in Costa Rica for 6 months, exploring, experiencing, and allowing themself to simply enjoy life. This nomad period proved to be one of Kemi’s most spiritual journeys yet of true lessons, pain points and growth.
Placing greater focus on practical, material efforts, Kemi began a journey toward a Master’s Degree in Digital Marketing. With expected graduation in December 2024, Kemi spent their 12th house protection year traveling, studying, and returning to self.
2024
As of 2024, Kemi felt the calling back into the spiritual community. Still hosting LGBTQ+ retreats, Kemi traveled to Thailand and Bali in February and May. After deeply spiritual experiences with plant medicine, Kemi rejoined the spiritual space, again sharing teachings and wisdom.
They also closed the 2.5-year cycle as a nomad, officially settling down in Atlanta, GA.
With a renewed calling and deeper understanding, Kemi centers community abundance and liberation. With a continued philosophy of liberating the mind and honoring truth, Kemi continues to show people the power of rejoicing in the essence of being. Through courses, events, teachings, and readings, Kemi unveils the layers of potential, and the layers of purpose all while aligning with the wisdom of the earth.
